About the Society

The founders of the Society of Analytical Psychology first met in 1936 but because of the second world war the constitution was not finalised until 1946. The aim of the Society is to develop the ideas of C.G. Jung and to offer therapy to those people who are in distress or have emotional problems.

It is also our aim to help people develop their individuality. The members of the Society of Analytical Psychology are all qualified analysts who have undergone a training of a very high standard, as well as personal analysis.

The Society's main functions are:

The C.G. Jung Clinic

The Clinic offers analysis at reduced fee to people who could not otherwise afford it. There is a Clinic for adults and another for children. The Clinic has its own website at www.cgjungclinic.org.uk - this link will open in a new window.

The Consultation Service

The aim of this service is to help people who may be interested in an analysis or psychotherapy for themselves but are unsure as to how to set about finding a suitable analyst. Others may not know whether analysis or more short-term psychotherapy is the most appropriate form of help for them. You can contact the Service by telephone, fax or email at the address below.

Courses, Talks & Workshops, Conferences

The Society of Analytical Psychology organises a number of courses, talks & workshops and conferences for people interested in Analytical Psychology.

These are held mainly in London, Cambridge and Oxford, though members of the Society give talks throughout the UK and abroad.
